13 JANUARY: After decades of oppressive Soviet rule, Lithuanians declared an Independent state on this day in 1991. This is the 22nd anniversary of 'Freedom Defender’s Day'. Congratulations to the people of Lithuania; Freedom is the pillar of sovereignty and personal liberty.
