In yesterdays post, I ranted about the current state of the internet, and especially about how webpages are so damn bloated and full of JS,Trackers,... that I decided to go full text browser.
So far I really enjoy my experience, but there are also hurdles to climb. Even tho I don't go on to many websites at all, here's a short experience list so far.
Things that work just fine:
- Plume (Which I use to write this post in w3m)
- Gitea/Codeberg
- Wordpress blogs
- invidio.us/YouTube (I just use [straw-viewer](https://github.com/trizen/straw-viewer))
- searx/DDG
Things that are just unusable or barely usable:
- GitHub (Barely, I still try to avoid it)
- GitLab (Unusable, can't even see a file list of the repo)
- Job Center (Unusable, as I'm unemploed, I still need to use Firefox for that)
- Mastodon (Unusable to register since the field descriptions don't show up. I use `toot` as a client)
I didn't check out any of the news sites since I use an RSS reader. There's probably much more to discover, but I was busy with preparing my UEFF stuff ;)
