Limits of Control

We long to feel in control, but we can only expect to fully control things that obey rules, that are simple, clear, and predictable. That is not the way the world is. In this unruly cosmos, we must come to terms with uncertainty, complexity, impermanence, imperfection, and the limits of control.

These are central themes and challenges in the struggle to live life meaningfully in the face of adversity.
